Day 13

My darling princess Adelaide, aka Addy. I’m not going to lie: there are days that she is the reason I get out of bed.  This may seem silly to those of you out there who have never had a dog, but it’s true.  Dogs are loyal and their love for you is unconditional.  We as humans speak of unconditional love, but honestly, the easiest way to find and feel unconditional love is to have a dog.  No one will be happier to see you at the end of a hard day, no one will cuddle with you during sappy movies, and no one will work harder to make you happy than a dog.  Of course, there are down sides, but they are far outweighed by the good and often come with funny stories.  Such as the time Addy ate an entire tub of Vaseline–a large one–and then proceeded to have very oily and sticky poop for the next two weeks. It required daily bathing and not allowing her on ANYTHING (and for the record, Addy assumes the furniture is hers and she’s just allowing everyone else to sit down).  She was so confused why she was being punished for eating something that was–OBVIOUSLY–so delicious!  Poor baby girl puppy!

PS–in case you’re following my Instagram (@epicurioustexan), Addy’s is accidentally listed as Day 12, but only because I can’t count!

  1. Hiya, I am really glad I have found this information. Nowadays bloggers publish just about gossips and web and this is really annoying. A good blog with interesting content, that is what I need. Thanks for keeping this website, I’ll be visiting it. Do you do newsletters? Can not find it. kbkcaegdedeg
