Happy Cinco de Mayo!

I feel like I should offer you a bit of history before the tequila starts flowing.  I mean, if you’re going to be celebrating, at least know the basics.

Of course, if you follow Epicurious Texan, you may have already read this.  But for those of you who haven’t let me sum up:

May 5th, Battle of Puebla, Mexican victory over French troops, credited as start of Mexican resistance to French rule.
